Build Budget Gaming PC – Guide to build Gaming PC

The first step of PC Gaming is either Build Budget Gaming PC or update your old rig. It is a daunting task to either build a gaming PC from scratch or upgrade your old one. PC gaming is evolving and many devices are becoming obsolete as we speak because the graphics and the size of the games are increasing.

The Gaming PC costs a fortune and many of us can’t afford it. Every part of the gaming PC is quite expensive like Graphics Cards, Processors, Ram, Mother Board, etc. I faced this problem because in my country spending thousands or lakhs on a Gaming PC is not possible for a middle-class person. If I told my parents that I need around 1,50,000 For PC that I am going to use for Games that means time-wasting in their opinion I would get scolded by them.

So I solved the problem by cutting costs by finding cheaper alternatives like which processor to use, Which motherboard is compatible etc. Because the problem doesn’t end after building a powerful CPU we also require Monitor, Key Board, Mouse, Windows License, etc which will cost a lot.

As a newcomer Build Gaming PC is a daunting and tedious task because even if we found cheaper parts it doesn’t mean that its compatible and worth the money. It requires lots and lots of research and technical knowledge. That’s why I want to guide you on how to build a budget gaming PC so you can save your time and focus your time on gaming. Bear that in mind that you will need extra money for monitor, mouse, and keyboard, and windows license.

This Budget Gaming PC is created under 50,000 rupees well it’s under 43-44k but it depends if product price will increase.

Gaming PC Under 40,000 rupees.

1. Cabinet -Corsair Carbide Series CC-9011050-WW Mid-Tower Steel Gaming Case with Red LED (Black)

Price:- 2800 Rupees

It’s a very good-looking cabinet under this budget. It can support up to 5 fans which is more than enough in this budget + the looks and build quality is very sturdy and can give competition to many other gaming cabinets. It’s Front Part can easily be removed for dust cleaning.

The case comes with several screws for fixing your components including SSDs and SATA drives. 3.5″ HDDs can be fit without any screws and you just have to place it on a tray and snap it into place. It is very spacious inside for installing many fans and even liquid cooling at the top without any problems.

The only downside is Cable management is a little messy but can easily be ignored because of its price.

2. SMPS -Corsair CP-9020170-UK 450W Certified Power Supply (Black)

Price:- 2400 Rupees

It is a great Power Supply Unit(PSU) that has a 450w power supply which is more than enough in many cases. It is very small as compared to its predecessor. It can work well with Medium to High Powered Graphic card also with i5 processor too and less power and installation are very easy too.

The fan is very silent you can’t hear the noise that much unless you open the cabinet. Corsair is a renowned brand for PC Hardware and it has mostly positive reviews. It is far better than the cheap PSU available in the market.

Only Con is its power plug isn’t compatible for India because we have round power plugs so you need to buy an adapter from your local electric store which is under 100 rupees.

3. Processor – AMD Ryzen 5 1600 Desktop Processor 6 Cores up to 3.6GHz 19MB Cache AM4 Socket (YD1600BBAEBOX)

Price:- 8250 Rupees

AMD Ryzen 5 1600 is a hexacore(6 core) and 12 threads processor. The Basic clock speed is 3.2GHz and can be overclocked to 3.6GHz processor and it falls into the 65w range. This processor is good for gaming and multitasking and 6 cores make hardcore gaming very easy. It is capable to run BattleField 1 on 120fps, BattleField 5 on 120fps in medium Graphics, PUBG can run on 60+FPS which is very good for multiplayer, and It can run modern warfare and red dead redemption 2 to 60fps if combined with a good graphics card.

The only downside of this processor is that it doesn’t come with an integrated graphics card that means the graphics card is necessary to display. With Bundled with a powerful graphic card this processor can wreak havoc.

4. RAM – CORSAIR 16GB Vengeance LPX DDR4 PC4-19200 2400MHz Desktop Memory-Black

CORSAIR 16GB Vengeance LPX DDR4 PC4-19200 2400MHz Desktop Memory-Black

Price:- 6300 Rupees

This Corsair ram has 16 Gb memory storage capacity and its system ram type is DDR4. 16 Gb of ram is very powerful in running heavy programs with ease along with multitasking. It has a memory clock speed of 2400MHz.

This allows your processor to access the data stored in the hard drive quicker, giving your system a boost in processor performance.

It can be paired with another DDR4 ram but cannot be paired with DDR3 ram. You can use rams of different clock speeds and memory sizes the system will run all the sticks with common clock speed.

One important feature of this ram is It has a metal black heat spreader which helps in vanish the heat and keeps the ram dust-free. It is one of the best rams in this budget and installation is very simple like plugging a Pendrive but inside a computer.

5. Graphics Card –  Inno3D GeForce GTX 1660 6GB GDDR5 Twin X2 Graphic Card ( NVIDIA )

Price:-17500 Rupees

Now comes the most important part of PC gaming in my opinion that is Graphics Card. Graphics Card is responsible for rendering an image to your monitor, it does this by converting data into a signal your monitor can understand. The better your graphics card the better, and smoother an image can be produced. This is naturally very important for gamers and video editors.

This Graphics Card has 6GB DDR5 Graphics memory which is very good in this budget. Graphics card is one of the most expensive parts in Building Gaming PC but this card can support many upcoming games with no hassle. It has 3 display ports and one HDMI port which is very good.

The fans are silent and this card can run games at 1080p on 60+ fps on most games. In very demanding games the performance drops to 40fps sometimes which is still great because a minimum of 30 fps is enough for single-player games.

The only con is its heating issue but every graphic card gets heated after the heavy performance. It is one of the best graphic cards on a budget for high-end gaming.

6. Motherboard – MSI A320M-A PRO MAX AMD AM4 Socket m-ATX Motherboard for Ryzen 1st 2nd 3rd Gen A-Series Athlon X4 Desktop Processors

Price:- 4000 Rupees

The MotherBoard is also known as the heart of the computer. The MotherBoard is the main circuit board of a computer in which all the components of the computer will be connected.

This motherboard 1st 2nd 3rd Generation of AMD Ryzen processor. It can support memory up to 3200 (OC)Mhz. This Mother Board provides studio-quality audio which will enhance your overall gaming experience.

It can support X-Boost software that auto-detects and allows you to boost the performance of any storage or USB device that can save your time so you don’t have to initialize every hardware. The core Boost technology provides improved performance.

This Mother Board is strong and sturdy and has led blinking indicator to indicate if there is a problem.

The only downside is it doesn’t have overclocking support which is fine because its price is relatively cheap.

7. Hard Disk Drive – Western Digital WD10EZEX 1TB Internal Hard Drive for Desktop (Blue)

Price:- 3000 Rupees

Now You’ve all the components for hardcore gaming the only problem is Hard Disk. Hard Disk is a secondary memory that will store all your data. Operating System, Games, Save Files, Movies, etc. will be stored in this.

This Hard Disk has 1TB storage with a Buffer size of 64MB and Rotation Speed of 7200 RPM. This hard disk has more enough storage for gaming and reads and write speed is great.

It is lighter than its predecessors as well as its competitors. It’s read and writes speed is between 100 and 150 Mbps.

Acronis True Image WD Edition can clone drives, backup your operating system, applications, settings and all of your data, while also having the ability to securely wipe any data you no longer need. You can quickly and easily deploy a new hard drive to your PC or laptop and automatically migrate your operating system, applications, and all of your important data, including images, music, and documents.

Thank you for this. It is great to know that you don’t need state of the art equipment to still enjoying top quality gaming. I look forward to your post on how to optimize your current PC for gaming, as my nephew is really into this, but he has a normal PC.

When it comes to the hard drive, what is the smallest amount of storage you recommend, as I see the more storage the higher the price?

    • Trevor February 25, 2020

Hey Michel, If you want to use Solid-state drive I recommend 500GB because it will be fast and you can store 3-4 big games on it. In HDD go for minimum 1TB because you only need a couple of bucks more to get 1TB because it will only cost a little amount of money to get 1TB than 500GB
